Mrs Tsigkou is a PhD candidate and researcher at the Laboratory of Biochemical Engineering and Environmental Technology.
She holds a BSc in Chemistry (University of Patras, 2014) and an MSc in Green Chemistry and Clean Technologies (University of Patras, 2016). The waste and wastewater treatment and valorization via the anaerobic digestion process is her main research field. She has already worked on the development of a high-rate reactor for the treatment of olive mill wastewater, producing biogas. In her research interests is included the valorization of organic municipal wastes for biofuels and compost production. Concerning her training, she participated in biotechnology and waste and wastewater treatment/valorization conferences while she attended a seminar for laboratory accreditation in accordance with ISO/ IEC 17025 Standard.
